Happy Easter!!
I hope you have a wonderful day with family and friends!

This year was Maia's first year decorating eggs and she had a BLAST!! While we were getting set up, I gave her the box to keep her occupied. She spent some time 'reading' the directions to us.
I changed her into an old onesie to avoid ruining any of her good clothes. Good thing I did because she spent quite a bit of time dunking her hands in the dye cups!!
I made sure to get each of the six colors ready before Maia came to help. She's not always the most patient child!
She did such a great job!
Our cups were so colorful!
Maia had such a great time putting eggs into the cups!
She was having so much fun but she was very focused on what she was doing.
After each egg, she immediately started reaching for the next...
We only had a dozen eggs so we just let her keep dunking the same ones over and over! She was having too much fun to stop!
Then she played with the wire scooper that comes in the box. She spent a lot of time stirring the colored water (and dipping her fingers!)
We decided to call it a day when she started squishing the eggs in her hands. The first one was an accident but it inspired her to do it a couple more times.
Game Over.
Haha :) She had so much fun!! She really only made a small mess, too! There were some splatters from dropping the eggs into the cups and her fingers were colored from dipping them - nothing a paper towel and a bath couldn't fix!
We had such a great time together! We weren't really expecting much from Maia at this age, but she certainly enjoyed herself! She did all of the decorating herself, too! She's so adorable :)
Did you decorate eggs?
Do you have special traditions for decorating them?
