We bought her a cute table and chair set from Ikea this past week, along with pots and pans and cooking utensils. Her imagination has been running wild! I'm so happy we bought it all for her - she has already spent hours completely engrossed in her imaginary world. It's so much fun to watch!
Yesterday she spent quite a bit of time 'cooking' and was chatting away! I was near the camera and recorded her!
Recently though, she's started "reading" out loud. It's the cutest thing EVER!!! She'll read the book to herself, turning the pages as she goes. The day we were in Ikea, she took a piece of paper from me that I had written on and "read" it aloud as she traced her finger across the words!! As a mom, I'm so proud of her!!! As a Kindergarten teacher, I'm impressed that she's pre-reading! What a rockstar!!
I've been trying to get a video of her "reading" but she always stops when she sees the camera. But yesterday morning I managed to record her as she "read" to herself in her playpen. Sorry you have to look through the mesh, but I didn't want to distract her by peeking over the top!
