Merry Christmas!

Pin It This year our Christmas Eve dinner ended up being our big meal.  Since it's only the 3 of us, we'll have leftovers tomorrow and enjoy a really relaxing day.

I suppose we're becoming more and more German by celebrating our big dinner and family night on Christmas Eve instead of Christmas day.  I guess that's what happens when you spend five Christmases overseas!

Here is our table from tonight.  We had turkey, mashed potatoes, sweet potato casserole, green beans, and, of course, glühwein.

Maia spent most of yesterday rearranging her gifts under the tree.  She would deliver each gift to us, one by one.  She spent some time stacking and restacking the presents her Aunt Kristie sent her.  

Stacking is new to her so she stacks everything.  Even down to stacking her turkey on the lid of her sippy cup!

We had a wonderful night last night: full bellies and lots of Skype calls to family in the States.  We have a couple more scheduled for today.  Maia has a very full schedule!
