Maia's Birthday Party

Pin It Last night we had a little celebration for Maia.  I made her a vegan cake but couldn't make frosting for her. I felt bad, but I searched and searched for a "butter" that was dairy-free and soy-free and just couldn't find any.  When you watch the video I think you'll see that she doesn't really mind the missing frosting!

This is the first time she's ever had chocolate or a cake of any kind.  She was pretty impressed!

We opened her presents with family watching from the States on Skype.  She had a great night and partied until almost midnight before she finally decided to go to sleep.  We think she might have been running on a little bit of a sugar high!
