I hope you all enjoyed yesterday's Bavarian Beer Soup! Thank you for your comments and emails! Keep following along…I still have 30 more fun projects to share!
Today I made a spooky Halloween silhouette that I found on Better Homes and Gardens website. I was looking for something simple to make that I could display on our buffet. The buffet is in the hallway near the front door - it's the first thing you see as you walk into our house - so I wanted something cute and simple…and festive!
I came across their Spooky Silhouettes project and I knew it would be perfect!
I went to the store, bought black oaktag, and printed a silhouette outline from the website. I used the Frankenstein silhouette but there is also a spooky witch outline. I also found a black picture frame in our closet that wasn't being used. I put the printed silhouette on top of the black oaktag and traced it with a ball point pen. You'll have to push hard to make an indent in the black paper so you'll know where to cut. Once you cut it out, glue it to a white piece of paper and insert it back into the frame.
Ta-da!
How do you like it? It was incredibly easy to make and super cheap too! It's a perfect addition to our Halloween decor. Visit Better Homes and Gardens to print a silhouette and make one for your home!
Be sure to check in tomorrow for Day 3!
